The season of entertaining is upon us! We are taking the bounty of our gardens and local farms and crafting beautiful meals for family and friends. Add a special touch to your table with personalized place cards using Colorhouse Chalkboard paint. In this MAKE THIS post, we’ll show you how!
You will need:
1 qt Colorhouse Chalkboard paint STONE .06
8-12 ½” popsicle sticks or tongue depressors
Drill with 1/8” bit
Step 1 – Dip the sticks in the chalkboard paint about halfway, letting excess paint drip off in the can.
Step 2 – Set the sticks out to dry. We weighted them down with a ruler and put a paper on the floor to catch the drips. Wait 24 hrs.
Step 3 – Drill a small hole at the top of the stick. Place a wooden block underneath the stick so you can drill all the way through.
Step 4 – Condition the sticks for chalk by rubbing the painted portion with the side of a piece of chalk and then dry erase.
Step 5- Write the names of your guests on the sticks!
Step 6- Take the twine and tie the placeholders to your napkins. Adorn with sprigs of fresh herbs.
You are ready to set the table!
